Well it’s hotter than hell outside right now, 100 in the shade with the sun beating down…so you know I’m heading to Adelaide Eats to chow down on some funky fresh street food, son! The downtown open-air market has added a few new vendors for July, and I’m fixin’ for a mix of Indian and Mexican, hermano!
Now, Kathi Roll Express is serving up some traditional Indian street eats, like chicken tikka, peri peri and lamb curry, but when you put it in a burrito, that’s kickin’ it up a notch! And these aren’t any mini-burritos, either–this would probably be at least a Large at Mucho Burrito, bro!
OK, now let’s break it down. You’ve got a nice, creamy butter chicken, with quite a bit of a kick, on top of yellow rice, chickpeas, and just a couple onions and peppers for some added flavour. The chicken is kickin’ it old school, and the tortilla is just warm enough to serve as a righteous vessel for all this other stuff! This dish is so far outta bounds that it shot out an old TV in a Chris Janson video, bro!
Like I said, this chicken was pretty strong, so you know I needed something fruity to wash it down! And like any good burrito joint, they were serving some Jarritos, but for the same price you could get this real-deal Indian classic–the mango lassi. This mango yogurt smoothie hit the spot even better than Coke in a cup! Brother, they can hook you up!!!
