Now, I don’t mind pineapple on pizza, especially when you funk it up with jalapenos or spam and pineapple. But here at The Good Son, this funky joint on Queen West, they’re kicking it up another notch — this is the Mauna Loa, bro-a!!!
OK, now let’s break it down. You’ve got these great big chunks of smoked pork cheek, some roasted pineapple, rapini and teeny-weeny pieces of scotch bonnet peppers, which really give this thing a decent kick. You may not be able to see ’em, but you can definitely feel the burn, bro!!!
Now, there aren’t a whole lotta brews to choose from here — and it’s mostly big names like Sol, Heineken and Guinness. But they do have Lagunitas IPA on tap, so I can’t really complain about that!
